Who’s Behind Move Now to Germany?
I’m Ingo, a German who spent many years living and working in the United States. During my time there, I gained a deep appreciation for the energy, openness, and creativity that America offers – but I also experienced the growing stress, inequality, and uncertainty that many Americans face today. Over time, I began to see the cracks in the system: the high cost of healthcare, the pressure to always be productive, and a social safety net that often feels more like a tightrope. I realized I didn’t want to live in survival mode. I wanted to live in a society where people are supported, where education and healthcare are human rights, and where stability is part of everyday life.
That’s when I made the conscious decision to return to Germany – not just because it’s my home, but because it offers what so many Americans are looking for: universal healthcare, affordable universities, reliable infrastructure, and a culture that values balance, community, and personal freedom. Most importantly, I wanted to provide my family with a safer, more secure way of life – one where we didn’t have to constantly worry about medical bills, school debt, or daily safety. Germany gave us that peace of mind, and now I help others find it too.
Hi, I’m Ingo — the founder of Move Now to Germany.
I help Americans build a new life in Germany because I know how life-changing it can be. I’ve walked this path myself — and now I’m here to guide you through it, too.
I know what it feels like to live between two worlds. And that’s exactly why I started Move Now to Germany – to help others who are ready for a change. I understand the concerns, the fears, and the dreams that come with uprooting your life. I’ve seen both systems up close, and I chose the German way because it works.
If you’re looking for a safer, saner, more sustainable life – for yourself, your family, or your future – I’m here to help you navigate every step of the journey. You’re not just relocating. You’re starting a new chapter, and I’ll be here to guide you with honesty, empathy, and experience.
- My Story
Like many of you, I once felt that life in the U.S. no longer worked for me. I wanted something more stable, more balanced, and more humane.
- Leaving wasn’t easy. I had questions, doubts, and fears:
Where do I even begin?
Will I be welcome?
What if I don’t speak the language?
But I discovered that with the right information and support, moving to Germany wasn’t just possible — it was the best decision I ever made. I found peace of mind, a different pace of life, and a sense of belonging I didn’t expect.
- Our Mission
Move Now to Germany is not just a visa service. It’s a human-centered guide for Americans ready to begin again — politically, emotionally, or simply practically.
- Whether you’re:
Disillusioned with life in the U.S.
Planning to retire abroad
Looking for a safer place to raise your family
Or just chasing a dream
I’m here to help you make it happen — with clarity, empathy, and a bit of humor when needed.

Why I Help Americans Move to Germany
- From Germany to the U.S. – and Back Again
I was born and raised in Germany, but in 2005, I moved to the United States to be with my American wife and experience life in a new culture. We spent several great years in California, embracing the energy, freedom, and diversity that make the U.S. so special.
- A New Chapter — Back in Germany
In 2021, we decided it was time for a fresh start — this time in Germany. We wanted more stability, a stronger social safety net, and a different political atmosphere. It was also my wife’s turn to experience what life in Europe — and especially in Germany — is really like.
- What we found here was everything we had hoped for:
Reliable healthcare
Affordable living
Social and political stability
A higher quality of life
- Why I Created “Move Now to Germany”
As someone who knows both sides — German and American life — I’m uniquely positioned to help others make this transition. I understand the concerns, questions, and emotions that come with such a big move.
Your new life in Germany starts with the right guidance.
